Shout out: St. B's!

I got an awesome packet of letters from Mrs. Ebel's 8th grade class at my grade school alma mater, St. Bernadette School in Milwaukee.

This is special for several more reasons:

1. It's my first big packet of mail.

2.  At least one of the kids who wrote is the offspring of one of my old classmates. And my old principal is still there. My parents still belong to the parish, and I go to mass there too, whenever I'm back "home."

3. My WIP takes place (partly) at a church called St. Bernadette.

In their letters, almost all the kids asked if there would be a sequel to Jump the Cracks. (Answer: probably not...)

One of my favorite parts:

We all LOVED your book. It was phenomenal! It isn't my absolute favorite book, but it is definitely near the top of my list, which should be an honor considering how many books there are in the world.

It IS an honor. It is definitely an honor.

This is the grotto at St. Bernadette's. It has something to do with my WIP too.

Thanks, 8th grade!!
